More than half of the student body at Carlow receives information literacy instruction taught by librarians on an annual basis through the SKW and SKC courses. Students are instructed in how to search for and evaluate information found in Grace Library and online. We encourage faculty to make use of higher level information literacy instruction for your courses with discipline-specific IL instruction or assignment-specific IL instruction.
Additional, assignment specific, information literacy classes for your students can be arranged by filling out this form.
The library now offers LibGuides, or library research guides, that are created by librarians to help students with research and library services. Some examples of LibGuides include Shakespeare, Rapid ILL, RN to BSN, counseling psychology, and BSM 202: Business Communication. Do you have a specific course or topic for which we can create a LibGuide to assist your students?
Fill out this form with your suggestion and librarians will work hard to accommodate your needs.
The Grace Library holdings closely reflect the curriculum and are built through the joint efforts of faculty and librarians. Library collections include print books, eBooks, periodicals (both in-print and online), and videos. Faculty are welcome to submit requests for book and A/V acquisitions using the following form.
